Katie Holmes was spotted walking her daughter Suri Cruise to school in New York City. Suri looked super cute with a red ribbon in her hair and wrapped up in a purple coat, while she toted along some toys and a Hello Kitty school bag. Going for a fresh-faced natural look, Katie left her hair loose and complexion makeup-free as she did the school run in a simple outfit. Pairing an oversized navy blazer with gold button detail over a red dress, black tights and practical flats, Katie was definitely the envy of the moms as she hit up her daughter’s school (schoolyard envy is the worst!). Even though she seems to be without makeup and minimally styled, Katie is the picture of perfection – flawless skin, doesn’t look like she’s aged in years and a well put together outfit.
Just like other star moms such as Jessica Alba, Katie seems to balance it all. Her career is going well, she seems to have the single mom thing worked out pretty well since ditching Tom Cruise and she’s balancing everything else too, including plenty of tabloid rumors and other random annoyances. Katie’s classic ensemble is fresh and sophisticated without looking like she’s spent hours putting together a look when she should have been making a breakfast for Suri or doing something else normal. Refreshingly simple and surprisingly down to earth, Katie continues to surprise us as she seems to handle whatever is thrown at her.
