Where did it all go wrong? Was it the dress, the horrible makeup or the orange fake tan that destroyed Julianne Hough’s big moment on the red carpet? All of it. The dancer/actress attended the premiere of her new film ‘Safe Haven’ in which she costars with Josh Duhamel. She wore a horrible dress, which is actually designed by Alberta Ferretti, but for some reason it looks like it was designed by a bored grandmother. The dress is made out of a floaty greyish fabric and embellished with too much detailed stuff including lots of sequins thrown in at random and even some white lace parts – it looks unfocused and messy.
She completed the look with a silver clutch which is nice (perhaps the only nice part), then she went overkill with the orangey tan which is more prominent on her body than her face. Added weird darker than usual eyebrows and a bad Elvis Presley impression for hair, and Voila – there’s Julianne Hough looking utterly terrible. It’s a shame because she often gets it quite right and this one just doesn’t fly. It’s an attempt at glamorous elegance that just doesn’t come together properly and it’s her big night on the red carpet so it sucks that she doesn’t look her best. Time to quit whatever fake tan that is and get a new stylist, pronto.
