Gwyneth Paltrow and Jessica Alba have both recently released lifestyle books outlining helpful ways to live healthier lives, so they’re in direct competition when it comes to book sales! Strangely enough, they’re both simultaneously promoting their very similar books, and Jessica was asked how she feels about Gwyneth’s ideas. Jessica hilariously retorts that her book, ‘The Honest Life’, is far more useful to someone who doesn’t have bucket loads of cash because she didn’t grow up rich and finds resourceful ways to cut costs. She commented:
“Alicia Silverstone is a vegan, so she’s the extreme side of it. Gwyneth Paltrow probably lives a very similar lifestyle, but I didn’t grow up with a bunch of money, so my tips are much more grounded: Repurposing things and making things at home.”
Oh burn, Gwyneth isn’t grounded eh? That is a point that no one can argue! Speaking more on how she hopes her book can help other people, Jessica says it contains lots of tips but she doesn’t expect everyone to use everything she has written, but believes that there are some pointers that people can pick up easily:
“I absolutely do these things. That’s why I wrote the book. There’s lots of options, like delivery services for fresh produce that is organic, if people just want to do a couple of things in the book that are supereasy.”
Not wanting to push her vision, Jessica seems down to earth and reassures that you don’t have to swallow her book whole:
“You can take what you want from the book.”
