Hollywood star Jeremy Renner’s family has shared an update on his condition after he underwent surgery for his injuries following a horrific snow plough accident.

UPDATE (Jan. 6): Jeremy Renner has provided another update from the hospital as he recovers from the snowplow accident that left him critically injured.
Renner posted his first video update from the hospital more than 24 hours after posting a selfie from his hospital bed.
The actor’s eye is swollen shut and he is seen breathing through an oxygen mask, but he appears to be in good spirits as his family members massage his scalp.
UPDATE (Jan. 5): Jeremy Renner has returned from surgery and remains in the intensive care unit in critical but stable condition.
In his first post since the accident, Jeremy Renner shared a selfie from his hospital bed with the caption: “Thank you all for your kind words. Im [sic] too messed up now to type. But I send love to you all.”

The 51-year-old Marvel star suffered blunt chest trauma and orthopedics injuries and remains in intensive care, his publicist Samantha Mast said in a statement from the family.
“We can confirm that Jeremy has suffered blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries and has undergone surgery today (2 January),” the statement, given to Deadline, read.
“He has returned from surgery and remains in the intensive care unit in critical but stable condition.”
“Jeremy’s family would like to express their gratitude to the incredible doctors and nurses looking after him,” the statement went on.
It also stated that the family is “most grateful” for the messages of support they have received in the days following the news.
His injuries are believed to have been caused by the Snow Cat ploughing machine he was operating.
The accident involved only Jeremy, according to the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office, who added that it was being investigated.
When the news broke, the actor’s devoted fans were quick to send their best wishes.
On Twitter, one person stated: “Very sorry to hear that you are in the hospital. I hope that you get better soon,” with a heart emoji.
Another person posted with prayer emojis: “Praying for a speedy recovery man @JeremyRenner,”
A third person wrote: “I hope you are OK [heart emoji] Wishing you a speedy recovery.”
