Jennifer Lawrence has made some New Year’s Resolutions that she hopes to stick to in the year to come. One in particular stands out – she wants to be able to defend herself more against criticism. The actress believes she is often too nice when met with harsh words and she hopes to be able to be less polite to the people who aren’t nice to her because she’s sick of being walked all over:
“My New Year’s Resolution is to stand up for myself. It’s hard for me. Nobody wants to be disliked. You always want to be polite and be nice. I tried to find a balance in saying what I mean and still being nice. I can’t do it. I have this ‘okay’ attitude and everything. I end up allowing myself to get walked over and resenting it.”
Commenting on going out with friends and hitting the town for a night out, Jennifer admits she’s more of a home body and when she does go out she gets tired and starts to dream about lounging on the couch all too quickly. She admits:
“I don’t like going out that much. I’m kind of an old lady. After it’s 11, I’m like ‘Don’t these kids ever get tired?’ When I’m out, I think about my couch.”
On how she feels about her body and weight issues:
“I’d rather look chubby on screen and like a person in real life.”
