Kenneth Walker III was in contention for fantasy MVP after an impressive run as the Seahawks’ starting running back, but an ankle injury put an end to his Rookie of the Year campaign.
Injury Reports Kenneth Walker III and Deebo Samuel for Thursday Night Football
- The Seahawks injuries
The Seahawks finished a short week of practice Wednesday and have five players listed as questionable for Thursday’s game against the 49ers: running back DeeJay Dallas (ankle), nose tackle Al Woods (Achilles), safety Ryan Neal (knee), safety Joey Blount (back), and cornerback Tre Brown (illness). Only Blount was able to practice on Wednesday, and he was limited.
Running back Kenneth Walker III, who practiced fully for the second day in a row and is expected to play after missing Sunday’s game with an ankle injury, is not on that list.
Walker went through a full practice on Tuesday and is expected to play on Thursday night.
Given the short turnaround, Seahawks coach Pete Carroll stated that everyone listed as questionable will be a game-day decision.

- The 49ers injuries
For the 49ers, quarterback Brock Purdy, who replaced an injured Jimmy Garoppolo, is questionable due to an oblique/rib injury that limited him in practice Wednesday. Kerry Hyder, a former Seahawks defensive lineman, and cornerback Ambry Thomas are also questionable. Garoppolo, receiver Deebo Samuel, and defensive tackle Kevin Givens are among those ruled out for the 49ers.
According to David Lombardi of The Athletic, San Francisco head coach Kyle Shanahan said Tuesday that he expects Deebo Samuel (knee/ankle) to return to game action in “three-ish” weeks.
According to Shanahan’s comments, the 49ers have already ruled Samuel out for Thursday’s game in Seattle.
