According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Eagles did not activate Goedert (shoulder) ahead of Sunday’s game at Chicago.
After missing four games on injured reserve, Goedert was designated for return on Wednesday, allowing him to practice for the first time since injuring his shoulder against the Commanders in Week 10.
However, it appears that Philadelphia will take a cautious approach with its No. 1 tight end and keep him out for one more game before returning next Saturday, Dec. 24 in Dallas. Meanwhile, the Eagles will continue to be manned by Jack Stoll and Grant Calcaterra.
Philadelphia Eagles
Philadelphia won their fourth straight game last week when they ran all over the Giants; they hope to make it five straight wins overall and over the Bears here.
The Eagles improved to 12-1 on the season and now lead the NFC East by two games over the Cowboys.
Philadelphia led the Giants 7-0 after the first quarter and 21-0 midway through the second on their way to a lopsided victory.
The Eagles had a 437-304 advantage in total offense, 27 first downs to 18 allowed, and a 32:30 to 27:30 advantage in time of possession. In addition, Philadelphia forced the game’s lone turnover.
Injury Report
All things considered, the Eagles have a relatively light injury report. Safety Reed Blankenship (knee) was the only player who missed all of practice on Wednesday and Thursday.
Everyone else who was not on injured reserve practiced at full strength. There is hope that Goedert (ankle) can be activated off IR and return for this contest, but you should keep an eye on that as the weekend approaches.

Montgomery (illness) is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Eagles.
Montgomery and quarterback Justin Fields each missed one practice due to what appeared to be minor illnesses.
They’ll lead the Chicago rushing attack against the NFC-leading Eagles this Sunday, while the passing game appears to be more toothless than ever with Chase Claypool (knee) out.
Chicago Bears
Chicago is coming off a bye week and is looking to snap a six-game losing streak that was extended by their loss to the Packers two weeks ago.
The Bears are now 3-10 on the season and in last place in the NFC North; they are also out of playoff contention.
Chicago played well for three quarters against the Packers before running out of gas. The Bears led 10-0 after the first quarter, 16-10 at halftime, and 19-10 after three quarters before being outscored 18-0 in the fourth quarter to lose.
Chicago had a 409-357 total offense advantage, but they were outmatched in first downs (21-15), time of possession (32:28 to 27:32), and turnovers (3-0).
Injury Report
The Bears are coming off a bye week with a relatively short injury list. Montgomery (illness), Claypool (knee), and tight end Trevon Wesco (calf) were all absent from practice on Thursday.
Claypool and Wesco both missed practice on Wednesday, putting them on the wrong track, while Montgomery is expected to play.
Tackle Larry Borom (knee) did not practice on Wednesday but was limited on Thursday, indicating that he is on the mend. Keep an eye out for any updates on these guys as they approach the weekend.
