The Atlanta Falcons is in the midst of a short week, with their game against the Carolina Panthers on Thursday night quickly approaching. The Falcons’ injury report hasn’t changed much this week, whereas the Panthers have a long list but have received some good news recently.

UPDATE 2: Hubbard (ankle) has been designated as “questionable” for Thursday’s game.
UPDATE: Hubbard (ankle) fully practiced on Tuesday, increasing his chances of playing this Thursday.
After failing to practice prior to Week 8, Hubbard (ankle) logged two limited sessions last week before being ruled out in Week 9.
According to the team’s official injury report, Hubbard was expected to be “limited” if Carolina practiced on Monday.
It’s certainly a step forward for his TNF prospects, and if he’s able to participate in Tuesday and Wednesday’s sessions, Hubbard should be able to return to game action.
Atlanta Falcons and Carolina Panthers
Unfortunately for Atlanta, the week coincides with a season high in injuries. Several key Falcons players are on injured reserve, including starting corner Casey Hayward and left guard Elijah Wilkinson.
The Falcons will be without star cornerback A.J. Terrell once again due to a hamstring injury. He won’t be the only Falcon out with a foot injury, as Harris is also out. All three players who were ruled out by Atlanta did not practice this week.
For the Panthers, Jackson, who is questionable, participated in full practice all week. Hubbard also took part in full practice all week but is still questionable to play.
Both Ioannidis and Moton were full participants on Wednesday and limited participants on Tuesday.
Injury to Atlanta’s other starting outside corner, All-Pro A.J. Terrell (hamstring), and Wilkinson’s replacement at left guard, Matt Hennessy (knee), during Sunday’s 20-17 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers has only exacerbated the situation.
Furthermore, safety Erik Harris, who was expected to play an important reserve role as Atlanta’s third safety, was ruled out with a foot injury against Los Angeles.
Harris’ veteran presence in the secondary became more important after the team traded Dean Marlowe to the Buffalo Bills at the trade deadline last week, but he couldn’t show it.
Tight end and special teams’ contributor Feleipe Franks suffered a calf injury against the Chargers, adding to the team’s injury woes.
Despite the fact that the Falcons did not practice on Monday, the team provided an estimated injury report. Terrell, Hennessy, Harris, and Franks were all listed as non-participants, a bad sign for their chances with Thursday approaching.
Atlanta and Carolina will face off at 8:15 p.m. within the Bank of America Stadium.
