The Seattle Seahawks host the New York Jets on New Year’s Day in an important game for both teams. Both teams come in with records of 7-8 and are fighting for their playoff lives.
Updates on Kenneth Walker III and Tyler Lockett’ injury status
Kenneth Walker III – Questionable
“K9” has been dealing with an ankle injury for several weeks, missing Seattle’s loss to Carolina due to a sprain. While he has appeared in the last two games, he has been limited in practice.
When asked if he thought Kenneth would play on Sunday, he gave a simple answer of “yes.”
“He’s going to have some fresh legs,” he said of the rest he was given this week. We wanted to make certain that we took care of some men, which we did today (Friday). We wanted to be quick on Sunday, so we took care of a couple of guys today.”
So, if you’re competing in the fantasy football championship, start Walker III with confidence on Sunday.
Tyler Lockett – Questionable
Lockett broke a bone in his hand in the loss to San Francisco on December 15th and had surgery the following week. Nonetheless, he appears to be on track to play against the Jets on Sunday.
“He did well. He’s still questionable on the chart, but he did quite well” Carroll said.
“There were no indications of anything bothering him catching the ball, right from the first time he came out here. He started with Nerf balls, and he was fine.”
Pete didn’t say Lockett would play, but he has praised Tyler’s quick recovery all week, even calling it “miraculous” earlier this week.
