Kansas City will try to rebound from its third loss of the season when it travels to Denver on Sunday afternoon for an AFC West showdown.
Final injury reports: Kadarius Toney and Courtland Sutton have been ruled out
Kansas City is again looking like one of the top Super Bowl contenders this season, having started 9-3. Prior to last week’s 27-24 loss at Cincinnati, the Chiefs were on a five-game winning streak, winning three of those five games by double digits.
Denver’s dreadful season continued last week with a 10-9 loss to Baltimore, as the Ravens scored late despite the absence of star quarterback Lamar Jackson.
The Kansas City Chiefs and Denver Broncos released their third and final injury reports of the week on Friday.
- The Chiefs injuries
Willie Gay (Groin)
Joshua Williams (Quad)
L’Jarius Sneed (Calf)
Lucas Niang (Knee)
Jaylen Watson (Hand)
Trey Smith (Knee)
Deon Bush (Elbow)
Joe Thuney (Ankle) – Questionable
Kadarius Toney (Hamstring) – OUT
Kadarius Toney (hamstring) has been upgraded to out and will not play against the Broncos on Sunday.
Toney was a limited participant in practice all week, but the 2021 first-round pick was clearly unable to shake off a hamstring strain in Saturday’s workout and will thus miss a third straight game.
- The Broncos injuries
Tom Compton (Illness)
Deshawn Williams (Illness)
Albert Okwuegbunam (Illness)
Jonathan Cooper (Ankle)
Dalton Risner (Back/Shoulder) – Questionable
D.J. Jones (Shoulder) – Questionable
Justin Strnad (Knee) – Questionable
Andrew Beck (Hamstring) – OUT
Dakota Allen (Hamstring) – OUT
Courtland Sutton (Hamstring) – OUT
Courtland Sutton (hamstring) will miss Sunday’s game against the Chiefs.
With Sutton out, Kendall Hinton and Brandon Johnson, along with Jerry Jeudy (ankle), are likely to see increased playing time for the Broncos this weekend.
Sutton will now look to return to action against the Cardinals in Week 15.
