1. Deebo Samuel, wide receiver, San Francisco 49ers
UPDATE (Dec. 17): Inactive
Samuel has ankle and MCL sprains, according to the 49ers. He should be able to play again before the end of the regular season.
Many people were holding their breath after Deebo Samuel was carted off the field after his leg bent awkwardly underneath him.
On Sunday night, 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan stated that the early diagnosis is a high-ankle sprain. It would keep him out for the rest of the regular season, but he could play in the NFL playoffs.
2. Tee Higgins and Tyler Boyd, wide receivers, Cincinnati Bengals
UPDATE (Dec. 17): According to Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic, Higgins (hamstring) and Boyd (finger) are listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Buccaneers after being listed as a full practice participant on Friday.
Tee Higgins (hamstring) and Tyler Boyd (dislocated finger) were both ruled out of the Cincinnati Bengals’ receiving corps in Week 14.
The absence of either player would hurt Joe Burrow’s fantasy upside ahead of a matchup against a Tampa Bay secondary that was just torched by Brock Purdy.
According to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, Boyd is dealing with a ‘week-to-week’ injury. While it may keep him out until Week 15, it will not be a long-term issue.
Higgins was listed as out with a hamstring injury on the NFL injury report mid-week. Given that it bothered him for several days before forcing him to leave the game against the Cleveland Browns, Higgins’ status for Week 15 is uncertain.
Trent Taylor is a risky dart throw WR4 if both Boyd and Higgins are inactive.
3. Brandin Cooks, wide receiver, Houston Texans
UPDATE (Dec. 17): Cooks (calf) is out of Sunday’s game against the Chiefs.
Brandin Cooks (calf) of the Houston Texans did not practice in the days leading up to Week 14, landing him on the NFL inactives list 48 hours before kickoff.
Given the Texans’ focus on securing the No. 1 pick, it wouldn’t be surprising if Cooks does not return to the field anytime soon.

4. D.J. Moore, wide receiver, Carolina Panthers
UPDATE (Dec. 17): Moore (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against Pittsburgh after being limited in practice on Friday, according to David Newton of ESPN.com.
D.J. Moore of the Carolina Panthers underwent knee testing on Monday. The Panthers’ No. 1 wideout has a knee sprain, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
According to a team source, it is a ‘day-to-day’ injury with no long-term implications. Unfortunately, that doesn’t tell us much about Moore’s Week 15 availability.
We’ll provide updates throughout the week as new information becomes available.
5. Darren Waller, tight end, Las Vegas Raiders
UPDATE (Dec. 17): Coach Josh McDaniels would not commit to activating Waller (hamstring) for Sunday’s game against the Patriots, according to ESPN’s Paul Gutierrez.
The most recent NFL injury report for Las Vegas Raiders tight end Darren Waller is very encouraging.
According to ESPN’s Paul Gutierrez, Waller is “on track” to return from injured reserve before Las Vegas’ Week 15 game against the New England Patriots. He won’t appear on the Raiders’ injury report until he’s activated, but there are enough encouraging signs for fantasy owners to be optimistic.
If the hamstring injury that has plagued him for two months is finally healed, Waller is a viable tight end option in the first round of fantasy playoffs.
