The St. Louis Cardinals are interested in Carlos Rodon
While everyone is focused on the current list of teams interested in signing Rodon, top MLB insider Jon Heyman revealed an intriguing development early Sunday morning. Heyman also mentions a mystery team that has entered the Rodon sweepstakes.
But he went one step further. While noting that there is a rumored mystery team, he also speculated that the organization could be the St. Louis Cardinals.
The Cardinals’ starting rotation is deep, but there are no true No. 1 options. Rodon would take care of it right away.
Outbidding other teams with deep pockets, such as the Dodgers, Giants, or Yankees, may ultimately win out in the bidding process, but it never hurts to try.
Heyman does not indicate that Rodon is nearing a decision, but it is clear that the pitcher has plenty of suitors.
