Cyberware Capacity Shards are the key to expanding your cyberware arsenal. Each cyberware implant in Cyberpunk 2077 has a specific capacity requirement, represented by a red bar in your Cyberware Capacity limit. Cyberware Capacity Shards increase this maximum capacity, allowing you to equip more cyberware.
Here’s how to get them:
- Loot from Fallen Enemies: Cyberware Capacity Shards can be obtained as loot from defeated enemies. While not extremely rare, their drop rate is random, so you may need to engage in some combat to acquire them.
- Lootboxes and Lockers: Occasionally, you may come across Cyberware Capacity Shards in lootboxes and lockers scattered throughout Night City. Be thorough in your exploration to maximize your chances of finding them.
Once you have found a cybercapacity shard and picked it up, it is automatically consumed. You don’t need to manually use them from your inventory.
Alternative Methods
If you’re not having luck finding Cyberware Capacity Shards, there are alternative methods to boost your Cyberware Capacity:
- Perks: Unlock the “Renaissance” and “Edgerunner” perks in the perk tree. “Renaissance” increases your cyberware limit by +4 for each attribute at nine or higher. The “Edgerunner” perk raises your Capacity by 50 points but reduces Max Health by -0.5% per point.
- Skills: Invest in the Engineer skill branch, which comes from the Technical Ability attribute. At skill level 10, you gain +5 Cyberware Capacity, and at level 30, it increases by +10. Level up your engineering skills by using tech weapons through walls or by hacking various systems.
- Leveling Up: As your character levels up, your Cyberware Capacity will naturally increase. With every level gained, your capacity grows by 3 points. Continue progressing through the game to expand your cyberware potential.
