In Remnant 2, players can unlock the secret Summoner archetype by obtaining Bloodmoon Essence, a rare resource found in the world of Yaesha. This guide will walk you through the steps to get Bloodmoon Essence and unlock the powerful Summoner archetype for your character.
Where to Find Bloodmoon Essence in Remnant 2
Bloodmoon Essence can only be obtained during the Blood Moon phenomenon in the Dark Woods of Yaesha. To acquire it, follow these steps:
- Locate the Blood Moon Phenomenon: Travel to the world of Yaesha and wait for the Blood Moon phenomenon to occur in the Dark Woods.
- Hunt Root Wisps: During the Blood Moon phenomenon, small purple lights known as Root Wisps will start flying around the Dark Woods. Shoot these Root Wisps to collect their essence, which will automatically move into your inventory.
Farming Strategy
You can’t accumulate a large amount of essence during one Blood Moon phenomenon. However, there’s a way to speed up the process.
After completing the Water Harp puzzle and meeting with Ravager, you’ll have the option to kill or revive the Doe. If you choose to kill the guardian of the forest, the world of Yaesha will slowly decay, resulting in more frequent Blood Moons and Root Wisps. This allows you to farm as much Bloodmoon Essence as you need.
How to Unlock the Summoner Archetype in Remnant 2
Once you have collected at least 15 Bloodmoon Essence, you can proceed to unlock the Summoner archetype. Follow these steps:
- Find a Bloodmoon Altar: Bloodmoon Altars spawn randomly in various locations across Yaesha’s overworld areas. Explore the world and keep an eye on your map for the blue stone markers indicating their presence nearby.
- Interact with the Altar: Approach the Bloodmoon Altar and interact with it. This will open a merchant menu that allows you to exchange your Bloodmoon Essence for various useful items and armor pieces. However, for now, your focus is on acquiring the first item on the list, the Faded Grimoire.
- Return to Ward 13: With the Faded Grimoire in your possession, head back to Ward 13.
- Speak with Wallace: Locate Wallace in a shack on the dock, about halfway up the stairs in Ward 13. He is the NPC who provided you with your initial archetype at the beginning of the game.
- Exchange the Faded Grimoire: Trade the Faded Grimoire with Wallace, and in return, he will give you the Tome of the Bringer.
- Equip the Tome of the Bringer: Open your menu and navigate to the Archetype page. Equip the Tome of the Bringer to become a Summoner. You can use this as your primary or secondary archetype, depending on your playstyle preference.
With the Tome of the Bringer equipped, you’ve successfully unlocked the Summoner archetype in Remnant 2.
