How to find and collect Demiguise Statues in Hogwarts Legacy
If you haven’t already guessed, those monkey statues scattered throughout the open world are known as Demiguise Statues. They’re the magical creatures you’ll see standing in for the number zero on door puzzles. Unlike most other statues in the game, which reveal Field Guide pages when activated, Demiguise Statues serve no purpose until you receive a specific quest from Gladwin Moon.
They are used to obtain the unlocking spell, which grants you access to the game’s numerous locked doors. The more you collect, the higher level doors you will be able to open.
Here’s a map of all the Demiguise Statues we’ve come across:
There is no spell that can be cast on a Demiguise Statue to cause it to move, change, explode, or turn into a Field Guide page. Magic isn’t the solution here.
Instead, simply wait until nightfall to see a small orb cradled by the statue – it’s a Demiguise Moon. The statue will let you take the moon it is holding at night. Take enough of these to Gladwin Moon so that he can improve the spell he teaches.
The vast majority of Demiguise moons can be found outside of Hogwarts castle, in Hogsmeade or in the small villages scattered throughout the highlands. These normal and reasonable people lock their doors to keep troublemakers out, but don’t let that deter you. In many of these towns, at least one of the houses will have a statue, and this is especially true in Hogsmeade. Don’t worry, there are no consequences for breaking and entering in this game.
So, that’s how you activate and collect Demiguise Statues in Hogwarts Legacy.
