If you’re looking for a guide to help you beat all the waves in the Dark Arts Battle Arena in Hogwarts Legacy, you’ve come to the right place.
Hogwarts Legacy Guide: Dark Arts Battle Arena
Where do you find the Dark Arts Battle Arena ?
In Hogwarts Legacy, you’ll need the Dark Arts Pack DLC to get into the Dark Arts Battle Arena. This is part of the Deluxe Edition as well. You can find the arena itself in the Forbidden Forest. It is north of Hogwarts Castle and west of Hogsmeade. Jackdaw’s Tomb is one of the nearby fast travel points, and you’ll go there as part of the main story.
When you arrive, you’ll notice a couple of wizards. Sneak up on them or charge in with your wands blazing to take them out. Then, using your Basic Cast or other spells, you must destroy 10 vases in the area. Simply cast Revelio to reveal the objects. The statue will then show you the entrance to the fight pit.
The Unforgivable Curses and Confringo
This arena lets you use Confringo, Crucio, Imperio, and Avada Kedavra curses. Here’s the main idea:
- While inside the arena, you’ll have instant access to those spells.
- You should ideally use the best talents, which include a few options in the Dark Arts panel.
- In subsequent fights, some players have reported losing access to the Unforgivable Curses. As a result, you should avoid changing your spell slot loadout while in the arena to avoid experiencing the bug.
How to deal with enemy waves ?
The Dark Arts Battle Arena has five waves of enemies, including wizard poachers, goblins, and trolls with armor. You can also use your potions and carnivorous plants in addition to your Ancient Magic and Ancient Magic Throw. Each wave you clear also resets the cooldowns of spells, including Avada Kedavra, which takes a long time to get back off cooldown. If you are knocked out, however, your run will end and you will have to begin again.
The optimal setup is one that maximizes kills with Avada Kedavra using the Avada Kedavra Mastery ability. This is strengthened by Dark Arts abilities such as Stunning Curse, Blood Curse, and Enduring Curse. Additionally, you may include Knockback Curse (Flipendo) and Crucio Mastery.
Essentially, you’ll use curses to debuff as many enemies as possible. Those who are afflicted will have a green “X” mark on their chest. When you have a large number of cursed opponents, you can cast Avada Kedavra. With its mastery talent, it will curse everyone else as well as the main target.
Hopefully, this Hogwarts Legacy Guide: Dark Arts Battle Arena has been useful to you.
