Helen Flanagan still wears an engagement ring when appearing in I’m A Celebrity…All-star
She announced earlier this month that she was single after splitting from her fiancé Scott Sinclair last summer.
But, as Helen Flanagan returns to I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! for the South Africa all stars series, she can be seen wearing the engagement ring that the footballer gave her while in the bush.
Scott gave the gleaming rock to the actress, 32, when he proposed in 2018, and she has since caused uncertainty by wearing it on and off.
But, when asked about the rationale for her item, she explained that she wore it in the jungle because her break-up was still fresh at the time of recording, despite the fact that the episode was pre-recorded.
She claimed that she was not ready to share the news at the time: ‘We’d only just broken up, and I didn’t want everyone to be asking, “Where’s your ring”.’
Helen revealed that it was difficult dealing with her divorce and being on the show, and that she planned to keep talk about her personal life to a minimum around her campmates.
‘I didn’t want to talk about it… I wanted to keep it private for the kids, I didn’t want to be talking about it on the show. I did find that difficult, because I had all that going on in my head,’ she continued.
Helen was recently seen wearing her engagement ring, causing many to speculate that she had rekindled her relationship with Scott after the couple ended their long-term romance.
Despite the fact that the ring has sparked speculation, Helen told OK! that she is only retaining it for the sake of her children.
‘My ring’s my ring, it’s for my girls,’ she said, dismissing any possibility of reconciliation with her ex.
