On Tuesday, the beauty posted a pinup swimwear shot to Instagram to inform her admirers of this fact.

The photo, which appeared to have been taken in the 1980s, featured her flaunting her long and slim body in a black one-piece swimsuit with her raven hair worn down below her shoulders.

The actress, who co-starred with Gal Gadot in the latest Wonder Woman film, posed in the pool.

The stunning poster who made us laugh on Star Wars Day last week simply captioned her post, “Happy swimsuit season ☀️.”

Almost fifty years have passed since her initial appearance as Wonder Woman on television.

Although Miss Carter had won the title of Miss USA in 1972, she had only $25 in her bank account when she was cast as Wonder Woman in 1975. She kept playing the part on TV until 1979.

A true wonder: She first appeared on our screens as Wonder Woman almost five decades ago

The 2020 film, starring Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, featured the actress as well.

Miss Carter’s husband of 37 years, businessman Robert Altman, passed away the following year due to complications following a medical procedure.

In 1984, Lynda and Robert got married.

The mother of two, the actress revealed that she cried “three times a day” as she dealt with the difficulties of life. Her children James, 34, and Jessica, 31, are grown.

She has previously stated, “I feel that I need to pick myself up and dust myself off, and put one foot in front of the other and be as courageous as I can be, even when I don’t feel like it, to get past grief.”

Both women were radiant as they spoke openly about their mother-daughter relationship, with Jessica describing her mother as “even more wonderful” than her heroic persona.

“I think every person believes and sees the character as a strong woman figure in their lives.”

She went on to say that the cartoon character’s “mothers, girlfriends, grandmothers, aunts, and sisters” were also included.

“I just feel really lucky that my mom is even more wonderful than the character.”

“She taught me how to be strong, she taught me how to be brave and she taught me that I could do whatever it is that I want to do, and that I didn’t have to fit anyone else’s ideal,’ she went on. ‘I just had to be myself.”

Lynda, who had a son named James with the late ZeniMax Media CEO Robert Altman, recently discussed the inspiring legacy of the DC classic Wonder Woman, describing her as “iconic for her heart and her intellect and her strength and beauty.”

Jessica has followed in her mother’s generous footsteps, but she has also developed her own love of performing, as evidenced by the publication of her No Rules EP of original songs.

It was the mother, in fact, who first encouraged her daughter to take up an instrument.

“It started off as a family affair,” Jessica told Mario and Kit. “My brother had performed with my mom at the Kennedy Center and my mom when I was in law school asked me if I would consider performing with her, not really realizing how nerve wracking it would be until I actually walked on stage.”

Carter Altman is grateful that his first performance led to many more.

“It’s been such a fun experience to not only for the first time be able to work in that professional way, not just to see the final project but the watch her work,’ Jessica explained. ‘To be on stage and to share those really special moments together.”

Lynda reflected on her own singing career, calling her duets with music legends like Kenny Rogers and Ray Charles “a dream come true,” and added that doing music with her daughter was the “best thing in the world.”
