Gwen Stefani has just announced her collaboration with Urban Decay cosmetics. The singer and ‘The Voice’ judge has opened up on the new makeup line, commenting that when she was approached with the idea she realised it was an ideal match. She explained that she was immediately thrilled to take part:
”When Urban Decay came to me to collaborate, I immediately knew it was a perfect match. The way they’ve built their company is very similar to my aesthetic and approach.”
Gwen is known for her unique style and even iconic beauty look, and she explains that makeup has always been very important to her. She reveals that she once worked as a makeup artist and really enjoys expressing herself through the use of makeup:
”Everyone in my life knows I absolutely love makeup. From a very young age, it was an artistic passion of mine. I actually used to be a makeup artist. I love wearing makeup and having so many ways to express myself through it. It’s my war paint.”
Urban Decay Chief Creative Officer Wende Zomnir commented on the upcoming limited edition collaboration, explaining that the company have wanted to work with Gwen for a long time and are excited it’s finally happening now. Wende believes Gwen is the perfect star to team up with:
