Do you want to know how to use the pebble you get in Ghost Song? It is, without a doubt, a very mysterious item. It refers to a mountain, and climbing it grants you “perception.” But if you don’t know what to do with that information, you’re not alone — it’s purposefully obtuse.
How to use the pebble in Ghost Song
After obtaining the pebble, proceed to the nearby mountain directly to the right of the Crash Site. You probably guessed it, but there’s more to it than that.
This only works if you do it while still in the Crash Site. You’ve gone too far if you’ve reached Ekman’s Crossing. Simply put, once you’ve walljumped to the top of the Crash Site, you’ve gotten far enough. While on the mountain, hold down to turn off your suit and a strange effect will appear above Deadsuit. She’ll be whisked away to The Cut Machine, where you’ll have another conversation with the ghost lady who first gave you the pebble.
The pebble is one of Ghost Song’s most enigmatic elements, and even after finishing this sequence, you’ll probably have more questions that I’m not sure I can answer. According to what I can tell, this section exists primarily for lore purposes and does not appear to provide you with anything. However, it has significant implications for the overall plot of the game. There are still many mysteries to solve, so keep exploring the world until you’ve figured it all out.
