This article will go over the most recent Genshin Impact 3.4 leaks, which include a new explorable area and a World Boss residing in Sumeru.
Genshin Impact 3.4 release date window
HoYoverse has yet to announce an official release date for the Genshin Impact 3.4 update. However, with the 3.3 update releasing on December 7, 2022 and running until January 17, 2023, we can expect the 3.4 update to be released around January 17 or 18.
Genshin Impact 3.4 Leaks – New explorable area & World Boss
Due to a recent lawsuit between Mihoyo and a prominent leaker, Genshin Impact leaks have become relatively scarce, but some have seemed to tease a possible new explorable area in the Sumeru desert. This leak originates from a now-deleted post from Genshin BLANK’s Twitter account in October 2022; however, another notable Genshin Impact source has expanded on the leak.
The rumored expansion revolves around a new POI, the desert sandstorm, which covers the area north of the current desert area from the 3.1 update. According to leaks, one of the locations covered in this new explorable area is the Sandworm Cave, from which a new World Boss will emerge.
The previous map expansion leak confirms the new World Boss, whose location is reportedly near the sandstorm entrance. According to Genshin Mains, the new World Boss is described as “an eyeless predator from deep within the Great Red Sand that will use sound and the quaking of the earth to seek out its prey.”
It’s worth noting that the leaked name for the World Boss is the Wind-Bitten Sandworm; however, this may change before the game’s release. Furthermore, it is rumored that this sandstorm is divided into three sections or subareas: the inner, center, and outer areas.

This sandstorm will also have two difficulties: Normal and Sandstorm Mode. However, as of this writing, there has been no confirmation of how this will work. We could think about earlier weather features that were included in the game, like the rainy area on Yashiori Island and the lightning areas in Inazuma.
This sandstorm location will include a new city, Gurtabad City, which will most likely serve as the sandstorm location’s entry point. We could expect to visit and explore a variety of locations, including shops, NPCs, and Teleport Waypoints for easy travel.
Other locations may also be added to the map expansion:
- Aranara Cave
- Eremite Black Market Camp
- Eternal Oasis
- God of Wisdom Cave
- Grass Dragon Cave
- King Deshret Cave
- Kusalani Cave
- Sand Ruins
So far, that’s all we know about Genshin Impact 3.4 leaks.
