Love Island’s Gemma Owen revealed to her fans that it “wasn’t an easy decision,” but she and Luca Bish are no longer together after finding love in the villa.
Gemma Owen confirms split from Luca Bish
The couple waited until after the series ended to make their relationship official, so Luca proposed to Gemma in August. But, three months after leaving the villa, the couple is no longer together, despite Gemma’s insistence that it was for the best.
Michael Owen‘s daughter confirmed the couple’s breakup on Instagram on Wednesday night, saying it “wasn’t an easy decision.”
“To all my followers, I wanted to let you know that Luca and I are no longer in a relationship. It wasn’t an easy decision but ultimately this is what is best for us both right now.” Gemma Owen said.
She added: “Many of you have been on this journey with us from the very beginning, and I want to thank you for your continued support as we start new chapters.”
The veteran of the villa signed off: “Love always, Gem x”
It comes after Luca attended several red carpet events without Gemma, including Tuesday’s glitzy and star-studded ITV Palooza.
It also comes after weeks of speculation, with sources close to Gemma and Luca dismissing split rumors.
Gemma and Luca had recently traveled to Dubai with Gemma’s family, which included her former footballer father Michael.
They were last seen together on November 5th, when they were dressed in coats to celebrate bonfire night.
