Garden In! was created by a small team in Turin, Italy, so there is no existing library of games to which it can be compared. However, they also seem to be working on Racoonie: Legend of the Spirits, a cute adventure game. Even though it’s more complex than Garden In!, it’s clear that Dramatic Iceberg is interested in creating warm and welcoming games.
Many garden simulators are intended to mimic the relaxation and dedication required of actual gardening. Garden Life, for example, was announced by Nacon last month, but that indie appears to be far more elaborate than the mechanics in Garden In!.
The brief trailer that was released alongside today’s release date announcement gives off the impression that the game is more at home on mobile devices, but we can only hope that it makes its way to the Nintendo Switch at some point. Even though every plant has unique requirements, Garden In!’s setting is cozy, and the mechanics appear rather streamlined.
There’s a strong emphasis on customization, and thankfully, players will have the option to create their own hybrid breeds. Actually, you’ll have control over the color scheme of the page itself. It seems like players have a lot of leeway in how they approach the game in order to achieve the desired serene atmosphere.
Although Garden In! is unlikely to be the most accessible game, fans of the genre and hobby will be pleased. Each plant has distinct characteristics that are vibrant and colorful enough to maintain interest while remaining simple enough to make decoration simple. This has some promise, and it’ll be interesting to see how Dramatic Iceberg expands on their brand with Racoonie: Legend of the Spirits.
