The Fortnite v24.20 update added a lot of great features to the game, but it also confused players due to the new gold bars disappearing glitch.
Fortnite Guide – How to fix Gold Bars disappearing glitch
Gold Bars are the primary currency in Fortnite, which can be used to upgrade weapons, hire Specialists, and even reroll Reality Augments. Gold is supposed to be accumulated match after match, but they appear to be disappearing for some players in the latest Battle Royale V.24.20 update.
Gold Bars disappearing without warning, and you could go from 5,000 to nothing at the start of a random match. Fortunately, Epic Games has now fixed this bug, and players should now see the correct number of Gold Bars.

Even though Epic Games fixed the problem, if you still lose gold bars in Fortnite, the best way to fix it is to restart your system as soon as you notice that your gold bars are gone. Once you load back into Fortnite, the right gold bars should be in your inventory.
It is critical to note that you should restart immediately if you encounter this bug. Otherwise, the latest match’s new count may overwrite your previous amount.
That’s everything you need to know to fix the Gold Bars disappearing glitch in Fortnite.
