In this article, we will explore the current state of motion blur in Final Fantasy 16 and the future updates that will allow players to adjust or disable it.
Final Fantasy 16 Addresses Motion Blur Concerns and Promises Improvements
On June 17, the Final Fantasy 16 development team held a “Feedback from the Demo” presentation to address the players’ concerns. During the presentation, they assured the community that they are actively working on implementing options to change or turn off motion blur in the game. Motion blur has been a significant source of discomfort for players, particularly those prone to motion sickness. Although motion blur is often used to mask lower frame rates, it has contributed to the overall performance issues experienced in Final Fantasy 16.
The development team recognizes this and aims to improve both motion blur and the game’s overall performance in future updates. Producer Naoki Yoshida emphasized their dedication to enhancing the game’s performance and assured players that updates would be released to address these concerns.
Temporary Solutions
Currently, there is no direct option to disable motion blur in the game. However, players can minimize its effect by adjusting the game’s performance mode. By accessing the “System” tab in the main menu and navigating to “Graphics Settings,” players can switch from “Graphics” to “Frame Rate” under the “Game Performance” option. It’s important to note that this temporary solution will not eliminate motion blur entirely but may provide some relief until an official update is released.
As the development team continues to address performance issues and player feedback, it is expected that motion blur will become an optional feature, providing a smoother and more enjoyable adventure through the world of Final Fantasy 16.
