SUMMARY
- Khalil Herbert
- Chris Moore
- Treylon Burks
- Rashid Shaheed
1. Khalil Herbert
UPDATE: Chicago reinstated Herbert (hip) from injured reserve Friday, Larry Mayer of the Bears’ official site reports.
This one is a bit more speculative, but Bears running back Khalil Herbert is expected to return from injured reserve. Herbert suffered a hip injury in Week 10 against the Lions and has been sidelined ever since.
Before that, Herbert had six games as an RB3 or better while splitting carries with David Montgomery. We’ll have to wait for more information, but Herbert is a very intriguing Week 16 sleeper who is almost certainly available in the vast majority of leagues.
If something were to happen to Montgomery over the next few weeks, Herbert would be a high-end RB2.
2. Chris Moore
UPDATE: Moore (foot) as questionable for Saturday’s game against the Titans.
Chris Moore’s ability to replicate his Week 14 performance of 10 catches on 11 targets for 124 yards was always going to be difficult. With that said, it wasn’t a bad day, but the volume piques my interest more.
Moore led the Texans with nine targets, catching four for 42 yards in a scoreless performance.
Moore is the No. 1 option with Brandin Cooks and Nico Collins out, and he’ll be a fantasy starter as long as both players are out. The Texans face the Titans this week before facing the Jaguars in Week 17. This is significant because the Titans rank last in points allowed, while the Jaguars rank 23rd.

3. Treylon Burks
UPDATE: The Titans list Burks (concussion) as questionable for Saturday’s game against the Texans.
Treylon Burks has missed the last two games due to a concussion after suffering a head injury against the Eagles in Week 13. It’s a shame because he was on a roll and was genuinely becoming the offense’s No. 1.
Burks had 11 receptions on 14 targets for 181 yards in Weeks 11 and 12, and if he returns this week, he’ll face a cakewalk matchup against the Texans. Burks is a sleeper I’d have in my starting lineup as a Flex option in Week 16 if he’s cleared.
4. Rashid Shaheed
UPDATE: Shaheed appears to be in line to serve as the Saints’ No. 1 receiver Saturday in Cleveland.
Rashid Shaheed has had the same amount of volume as Chris Olave in the last three weeks. The UDFA rookie led all Saints skill players in snaps (39), routes run (20), and receptions (three of four targets for 95 yards and two touchdowns).
Shaheed has gained 50 yards or more in three consecutive games and is clearly on the rise. The game against Cleveland is a middle-of-the-road challenge, but keep an eye on the weather on Christmas Eve.
If the winds and snow continue to blow west, Shaheed is a sleeper worth considering for Week 16 fantasy football.
