Mark Andrews, Jonathan Taylor, and Kenny Pickett’s fantasy injuries have been updated. What impact these injuries have on the Week 7 landscape.
Fantasy Injury Week 7: Mark Andrews, Jonathan Taylor and Kenny Pickett
1. Mark Andrews
UPDATE 2: According to ESPN’s Jamison Hensley, Andrews (knee) returned to practice on Friday. Andrews told reporters that he will be ready to play this week.
UPDATE: Andrews (knee) missed practice for the second day in a row, and while it’s not time to panic, he may have an injury, contrary to Harbaugh’s “rest” day comment yesterday.
Andrews (knee) did not participate in Baltimore’s Wednesday practice, but head coach John Harbaugh stated that it was simply a “rest” day.
He is expected to play this Sunday against the Browns, and he is currently ranks as SN Fantasy’s No. 1 TE in both standard and PPR formats.
He currently leads all TEs in route participation (98.3%), target share (34.3%), yards per route run (2.56), and receiving yards (455) and is virtually matchup-proof at this point.
Baltimore’s top pass catcher is expected to have another big game.
2. Jonathan Taylor
UPDATE 2: Taylor (ankle) is not listed on the team’s Week 7 injury report.
UPDATE: Taylor (ankle) practiced fully for the second day in a row, according to ESPN’s Field Yates.
Taylor (ankle) practiced fully on Wednesday ahead of the Colts’ Week 7 game against the Titans on Sunday.
Due to an ankle injury sustained in Week 4, the star running back has missed the last two games. Taylor returned to practice last week and was listed as “questionable” for Saturday’s game against the Jaguars before being ruled out.
Taylor will come back to his RB1 spot against Tennessee if he does not suffer any setbacks over the next two days. He was held to 42 yards on 20 carries in their previous meeting in Week 4.
The Titans’ defense has been solid this season, allowing the fourth-fewest fantasy points to running backs (17), but that shouldn’t deter fantasy owners from starting Taylor, who will likely get the lion’s share of carries and could have a breakout game.
UPDATE: Pickett (concussion) has cleared concussion protocol and is expected to play in Week 7.
Pickett (concussion) returned to full practice for the Steelers on Wednesday, increasing his chances of playing against the Dolphins on Sunday Night Football.
Pickett is still in concussion protocol, but a full practice on Wednesday is a big step forward in his chances of being cleared before Sunday night.
He’ll face a Dolphins defense that has allowed the sixth-most fantasy points per game to quarterbacks (21.7).
With some of the better quarterbacks on bye, he makes the case as a viable streaming option once he officially clears concussion protocol and is active.
