Our first stop takes us to Reckless Retreat, an unexpected gem in the midst of this season’s heist-themed landscape. Despite the theme, Reckless Retreat initially appears to be a luxurious summer resort, complete with palm trees and electric heaters.
The real treasure lies in the basement—a well-guarded complex featuring turrets, secret vents, and an imposing boss. Defeat the boss to gain access to a vault where you’ll be faced with a choice between two powerful Chapter 4 Mythic items.
Eclipsed Estates: Vertical Elegance
The final new POI to explore is Eclipsed Estates. Fans of Chapter 4 Season 1 may recall the Citadel overstaying its welcome, making Eclipsed Estates a refreshing change from the stone castle. With yet another vault hidden within, it stands out as one of the best landing spots in Fortnite this season, thanks to its central position on the map.
Sanguine Suites: Elegance with a Dark Twist
On the opposite end of the map lies Sanguine Suites, another luxurious hotel that showcases the season’s vampire villain’s impeccable design sense. Like Reckless Retreat, Sanguine Suites conceals a vault beneath its elegant exterior. Inside, you’ll have the chance to acquire two randomly selected Mythic items, making this location a must-visit for daring adventurers.
Other Map Changes
Three new vaults have been added within these older locations, each guarded by a resident boss and containing a single Mythic item. While there may be fewer Mythics, these vaults compensate by offering a generous supply of rare chests and reduced defenses.
