Harry Potter actress Emma Watson has opened up on her career. She admits that she isn’t keen to stay only acting for the rest of her life because she also enjoys other creative outlets and might be interested in moving her focus to something else in the future. She also hopes her life will “calm down” but she thinks this will happen naturally over time:
”I’d like to be considered a good, versatile actress. I feel happiest when doing something creative – writing, painting, acting or dancing, so I think I’ll always complement the acting with something else. If you act all the time, you’re spending your life living other people’s lives. Really I’d quite like it if things calm down a bit and I think that will happen naturally.”
Emma insists that she didn’t take on her latest role in ‘The Perks of Being a Wallflower’ to get away from her ‘Harry Potter’ character because she’s never wanted to get away from her previous roles. Instead she was simply interested in the character and fell in love with the script when she read it:
‘It’s not some wild break away from ‘Harry Potter‘ because I don’t really want to get away from ‘Harry Potter‘ – I’ve never seen it as a shackle. But I knew the second I read The Script that I wanted this film to be seen.”
