Drake has been accused of mocking Kanye West because of his ex-wife Kim Kardashian’s alleged affair with NBA star Chris Paul.
Drake publicly mocks Kanye West once more
Following his contentious interview with right-wing conspiracy theorist Alex Jones on Thursday (December 1), the Chicago rap mogul threw another wrench in the works by claiming that he once caught Kardashian cheating on him.
He tweeted: “Let’s break one last window before we get outa here, I caught this guy with Kim[.] Good night.”
As of press time, neither Kardashian nor Chris Paul had responded to West’s allegations.
Following the shocking claim, a photo from Drake’s feud with Kanye West last year began circulating online, implying that the Toronto rapper was aware of Kim Kardashian and Chris Paul’s rendezvous — and used it as fodder to troll his opponent.
Drake and two friends are seen in the photo, which was originally posted on Drake’s Instagram Story, wearing different Chris Paul jerseys while promoting his then-upcoming album Certified Lover Boy.
Drizzy is wearing Paul’s #3 Suns jersey, while his friends are wearing New Orleans Pelicans jerseys. All three appear to be having a good time. The caption above the photo reads, “September 3 CLB.”
One Twitter user reacted: “Drake was playing mind games the whole time with Kanye back when when CLB was dropping? Had all the homies in a Chris Paul Jersey while he was beefing with Kanye. Damn,”
Another called Drake’s apparent subliminal diss “psychological warfare.”
Drake, who is also rumored to have slept with Kim Kardashian during her marriage to Kanye West, spent much of 2021 sparring with Ye on social media and in songs leading up to their respective albums, Certified Lover Boy and Donda.
At the urging of Rap-A-Lot Records founder J. Prince, the pair buried the hatchet and reunited on stage for the “Free Larry Hoover” benefit concert in Los Angeles that December.
While things appear to have improved between the Hip Hop heavyweights since then, Drake recently questioned the sincerity of their truce, claiming he only reconciled with Ye as a favor to J. Prince.
“Linking with the opps, bitch, I did that shit for J. Prince / Bitch, I did it for the mob ties,” he rapped on “Circo Loco,” a song from his collaborative album Her Loss with 21 Savage.
Kanye later took to Twitter to respond to Drake’s lyrics. The founder of G.O.O.D. Music appeared to take issue with the lines at first, before calling for peace and unity in the rap game.
“Enough already I done gave this man his flowers multiple times. Let’s really see who are real ops are in this music game,” he tweeted. “Imagine all the rappers on the same side and everyone cleaning up each others contracts It’s kingdom time. Love Drake #lovespeech.”
