Diane Kruger stars in the newly released film by Stephanie Meyer named ‘The Host’. Meyer is also responsible for ‘Twilight’ and the actress had admitted that she loves the Twilight films and is a huge unashamed fan of the series because it appealed to her teenage girl side and she’s enjoyed all of the books and films:
‘I actually happen to be a big Twilight fan, which I’m not embarrassed to say. It sort of appeals to my inner teenage girl.’
Speaking candidly on her childhood in Germany, Diane admits that when she was a teenager her parents and friends didn’t know what was going to happen to her and everyone was worried that she was turning into something like a prostitute:
‘I felt really trapped in my home town. My mum could sense it and to this day, without her trust in me, I don’t know what I would have become. People just thought I was – not turning into a prostitute, but kind of. Everyone was furious. My dad was furious. My school thought I was making the biggest mistake of my life. I knew this was not the life that was meant for me.’
Diane reveals that she has a secret obsession with pickling and often gets her boyfriend Joshua Jackson to join in on the fun:
‘We have a big garden in L.A. and we started canning jam and pickling. It sounds a little kooky, but the pickles we make are insane.’
