The demon Lilith is planning to take over the human world, and only you can stop her. However, the first few hours of your trip could well be your last. You might become perplexed by some of Diablo 4’s gameplay’s less evident aspects.
We offer 12 helpful pointers for Diablo 4 newcomers. You will undoubtedly be well-equipped once you have this knowledge.
Try to play with all classes
There are five game classes in Diablo 4: barbarian, wizard, rogue, druid, and necromancer. Each has its own characteristics and features. For example, barbarian attacks with several types of weapons, but a robber is faster. A necromancer can create an army of skeletons from the corpses of enemies, and a druid can turn into a wolf or bear. In turn, the wizard controls the magic of ice, fire, and lightning.
In the game, there are no bad classes; each has perks and drawbacks of its own. If you do not like the character you have chosen, open the main menu and make four more heroes. Play for them for at least 30 minutes, test out their skills, and assess the damage dealt and attack speed. Therefore, you will discover a character that you will like very well.
The game supports up to ten character slots, you can switch between them at any time.Do not sell things, but disassemble them at the Blacksmith
You will have enough gold to start, therefore the game will offer to sell extra stuff to you. However, we do not suggest that you do this as you can still earn gold by carrying out regular chores. And do not forget that you can always buy d4 gold. It is preferable to dispose of armor and weapons with the aid of Blacksmiths. You can enhance your current equipment and make new ones, including amulets and rings, by parsing it for materials.
The analysis of equipment at the same time will allow you to preserve the appearance of the armor. So the looks of your favorite helmets and gloves will appear in your collection. To customize the appearance, go to the character’s room.
Do not rush to follow the plot, take up the quests
Diablo 4’s plot missions are fantastic, but no one is pressuring you to finish them right away. Respond to locals’ demands, clean up dungeons, take part in online competitions, and free fortresses.
As a result, you will gain gold, acquire quality gear, and simultaneously upgrade your character. There are no time restrictions in the game.
Do not forget to teleport to the city at any convenient opportunity
This can be required in several circumstances. Let’s imagine you wish to update your gear but are unable to leave a boss encounter. Teleport to the closest city in this situation, take apart superfluous stuff, and upgrade the Blacksmith’s weapons. After that, return to the location you originally teleported from by using the same portal.
Teleports between cities will also be useful if you don’t want to walk to the right places. This way you will significantly reduce travel time. Do not forget to activate teleportation sites in new settlements: otherwise, you will not be able to move to them.
If you do not like open abilities, reset them in the skills menu
You might want to attempt another ability if you have tried one in vain. You can distribute the liberated points to other abilities by freely resetting all of your talents throughout the game.
If you want to explore the open world, wait for the horse to appear
It is not necessary to explore Sanctuary on foot. It is better to travel on horseback by transport: at first, it is a horse. With it, exploring the world will be much faster.
The opportunity to ride a horse will appear after completing the task “Horse: Donan’s Gift” in the fourth act of the plot. The stables will be unavailable until this mission is completed.
Find Lilith altars all over Sanctuary
In the secluded corners of the game world, there are statues of Lilith. If you interact with them, get permanent bonuses for all your characters in this world. Most often, altars give extra points to strength and other characteristics.
In total, there are more than 20 Lilith altars in each region. We advise you to spend time searching for them: it will be easier to play with their bonuses.
Do not forget to get aspects for equipment in the dungeons
Aspects are items for equipment that give additional effects or bonuses. Let’s say the arson aspect for a wizard increases your arson damage.
Aspects are given out for the first passage of certain dungeons. If you want to further strengthen the character, do not forget to insert aspects into the equipment of the occultist.
Get rewards for fame
Exploring new areas results in ongoing rewards for fame, such as more experience, gold, skill points, health potions, and so forth. The more famous you are, the greater your benefits will be.
Fame increases for completing side quests, freeing fortresses, exploring areas, searching for the gates of wandering, passing dungeons, and interacting with Lilith altars.
Upgrade the Alchemist’s health potions
At first, potions restore a little health. This can be corrected by alchemists in the settlements. Potions can be improved every 10 or 15 levels until reaching the 90th.
Don’t forget to drop by the alchemists to check the availability of improved potions. The better your remedies, the higher the chance to survive in difficult fights.
Put the extra things in the chest
All items in Diablo 4 occupy one tab of the slot. At the same time, not all things will be allowed to be disassembled by a blacksmith. Put the currently unnecessary weapons for other classes or jewelry in the chest. It is located in the hero’s room, in the same place where the closet is located.
Buy Whispering Keys from Purveyor of Curiosities
In the open world, there are locked “quiet” chests. They need whispering keys. They cannot be found nearby – they are available for purchase from dealers in curiosities.
There are dealers in curiosities in large settlements and are indicated by the icon of a bag of gold. Find the whispering keys in one of the tabs at the bottom. It is impossible to buy items from a dealer of curiosities for gold: they accept only fragments. Wreckage is given out for passing random events in the open world.
