Irish actor Colin Farrell, who stars in the new ‘Total Recall’ reboot, has opened up on the changes he made in his life when he became a father for the first time to a son named James. Colin says that fatherhood opened his eyes and made him take care of his son even though he was in a place where he didn’t care about himself, and the experienced changed him greatly, so he credits his son with saving his life:
“What my first son James did was allow me to care for something in this world when I couldn’t care for myself. James saved my life.”
Colin also says he doesn’t want his kids picking up his bad swearing habits and although he tries his best not to use any bad language, his son has still picked up on a word he shouldn’t be using:
“I’m very aware of trying to be as judicious with my language as possible. I had my kid saying ‘sh*t, sh*t’ when he spilled something the other day. At least it was an appropriate use of the word.”
Commenting on his future plans, Colin says he is thankful for what he has and wants to do some traveling, but one of his top priorities is to be a good father and friend:
“I want to be as decent and supportive a dad and friend as I can be, and to travel the world like I used to with my mind, but now with my body. I want to be inspired by what I’m able to do. Because I’m a lucky b*stard.”
