If you’re seeking guidance on who should receive Kryx’s Legacy and which path to take in Starfield, we’ve got you covered.

Choosing Sides in Starfield – Who Should You Give Kryx’s Legacy To?

Regardless of your choice, you’ll receive a substantial reward of 250,000 credits as your share of the legacy. The core of both mission paths follows a similar pattern: an initial attack on defensive batteries, followed by an assault on either the Crimson Fleet’s Key or SysDef’s UC Vigilance, culminating in a challenging space battle. Therefore, ensure you’re content with your Starfield ship customization before tackling this pivotal mission.

While the overarching plot remains consistent, there are subtle distinctions between choosing SysDef or the Crimson Fleet. Let’s take a closer look at each option.

The Outcome of Giving Kryx’s Legacy to SysDef

Choosing SysDef places you in command of an assault on the Crimson Fleet’s defensive batteries, systematically disabling them one by one. Depending on how much evidence you’ve collected for Toft while working with UC SysDef, you might receive backup from MAST. However, insufficient evidence leaves you with only the support of SysDef.

After dismantling the three batteries, you’ll engage in a monumental space battle at the Key until the UC Vigilance arrives. Upon its arrival, you’ll storm the Key solo, navigating a blood-soaked path through the Crimson Fleet ranks to reach Delgado. Along the way, you’ll encounter Shinya Voss, and the revelation of his activated bomb presents an optional objective to rescue him.

Upon reaching Delgado, you’ll discover that he has initiated the Key’s self-destruct sequence. Persuading him to deactivate it and surrender is the only way out. The computer you need to save Voss can be found in the same room.

The Outcome of Giving Kryx’s Legacy to the Crimson Fleet

Opting for the Crimson Fleet’s side leads to a mission structure mirroring the SysDef version, but with roles reversed. Now, you must protect the defensive batteries, one at a time, and engage in an extensive space battle around the Key to disable the UC Vigilance. Once its shields are down, you’ll launch an assault to eliminate Commander Ikande.

A key distinction when supporting the Crimson Fleet is that you won’t face this challenge alone. At various junctures, characters you’ve encountered throughout your journey will emerge to fight alongside you or provide choices on how to proceed. Additionally, you’ll have the opportunity to free any prisoners you’ve confined in the brig, who will lend their strength to your mission to reach Ikande.

As with the SysDef scenario, when you finally confront Ikande, you’ll find him prepared to activate a self-destruct mechanism. Successfully convincing him to halt the destruction is the only way to save the ship.

Your journey in Starfield is marked by choices, and none are more significant than the decision to give Kryx’s Legacy. May the cosmos guide your path as you navigate this intricate web of allegiances and consequences.
