Singer Carrie Underwood likes to try and look her best for her husband, who it turn texts her when she is on the red carpet to tell her how hot she is. Carrie, who tied the knot to hockey star Mike Fisher in 2010, says she likes to respect her husband even though he wouldn’t dare to tell her she couldn’t wear something:
”I want to look sexy for him. And I appreciate that he wants to look nice for me, too. I get texts from Mike when I’m on a red carpet that read, ‘You’re so hot.’ I like that. Words of affirmation mean a lot to me. He would never tell me I can’t do or wear something or make me feel bad [but] I’m a married lady now, so I try to be respectful of my husband.”
Carrie admits that they argue from time to time, but usually it is over something small like whether they should eat out or stay in – Carrie comments that she much prefers to eat at home but Mike often slacks off and doesn’t help out with the cooking when they do stay in:
”[Mike] would rather go out to restaurants than eat at home. It makes me mad! I really enjoy cooking and eating together at home. If he’s watching TV and I’m cooking, I’m like, ‘Hey, you’re being lazy, come help!’ ”
