Cameron Diaz has revealed that she went through heartbreak quite recently, but the pain of the relationship ending made her realize that she was happy to have loved in the first place, and she believes she has so much love to give which is something that comforted her as she dealt with the break-up. She admits she is glad she had the relationship in the first place because it is better to have loved than to have not experienced anything:
”When I was going through a bit of heartbreak a little while ago, I said to a friend, ‘Wow this really hurts’ and he said, ‘That just shows you what your capacity for loving is.’ After that, the heartbreak felt different to me, because then it became about abundance, not deficit. I would rather have my heart broken a thousand times than never love at all. I have so much love to give – I’m not empty of love, I’m full of love.”
Cameron speaks on all of her friends which she calls her “tribes” all over the world, and comments on staying with a family who she knows well and admires because they are all so close. She wisely says that the most important thing in life to her are traveling and experiencing people:
”I have friends all over the world – I call them my tribes. ‘I’m staying with some good friends here [in London] – they’re such a beautiful family. I love to witness how different people love one another. I find that enriching. The greatest values in my life come from travelling, meeting people, and relationships. People’s wisdom and life experiences – that’s what I’m most interested in.”
