‘Gossip Girl’ actress Blake Lively has admitted that she hates sex scenes and dreads them whenever she’s set to film one. Blake says the experience is usually “terrible” because not only do the actors feel awkward, but so do the crew, but at the same time everyone is trying their best to make it seem authentic and exciting:
”Filming sex scenes is always just terrible. Terrible. The actors are uncomfortable, the crew are uncomfortable. But, at the same time, you’re all trying to make it as exciting as possible.”
She says for her latest film ‘Savages’ the experience was slightly different because she felt the sex scene showed the strong connection that the couple have which she believes is an important aspect of the film. However, this made it even harder because it was so intimate and the scenes were filmed over the first few days of shooting so she didn’t even know everyone properly:
”The sex scenes in ‘Savages’ were especially tricky because they weren’t just ‘the exciting sex scenes in a movie’, but a really important way of showing how these three people love each other, and how they can exist in a relationship together. They were filmed in the first few days of shooting so, on the plus side, you get to know each other very quickly. But it’s a pretty torturous process. Afterwards, you’re like, ‘Nooo! My family is going to see this!’ ”
