Former ‘Pussycat Dolls’ singer Ashley Roberts is the new face of Key Fashion’s Spring/Summer 2014 collection and during an interview at the collection’s launch, Ashley gushed about Oscar-winning actress Lupita Nyong’o’s amazing red carpet style. She thinks Lupita really shines whenever she steps out for an event and she loves that Lupita isn’t afraid to experiment with bright colours:
”Lupita’s just gorgeous! She has an inner glow about her as well, she shines bright from the inside. She’s not afraid to wear fun, bright colours, like that really beautiful blue she wore at the Oscars. That’s what’s cool about KEY Fashion too. There’s a lot of beautiful, flowing dresses in the new collection.”
On her personal style icons, Ashley says she loves how British models Kate Moss and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley dress because they always look effortlessly chic, while she is also wowed by singer Rita Ora’s courageous style:
”Kate Moss, obviously, she’s fabulous. Rita Ora can go really out there with her fashion, but then there’s some stuff that she does that just love, I think it’s so cool and funky. And Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, I’m a little obsessed with her.”
On how she plans to adapt her wardrobe for the warmer summer season ahead, Ashley says she’ll be working in some key trends including pastel shades and bold prints:
”I definitely think I’ll be adding in pastel colours, and bold prints are happening right now. Adding in the acid blue wash of the jean that’s ripped, I feel that would be really fun.”
