When it goes to Memphis on Monday night, Dallas will finish its three-game road trip and try to stay above.500. The Mavericks won their first two games on the trip, against the Spurs and the Lakers. Memphis has won five of its last six games. On Saturday, it beat Golden State by a score of 133-119.
The latest Injury Report for the Dallas Mavericks vs. Memphis Grizzlies
What would happen to the Mavericks if Luka Doncic did not on the court for their game on Monday?
Luka Doncic, a star player for Dallas, has missed the last four games because of a thigh injury. He may or may not play against Memphis.
Doncic (thigh) might not be able to play against Memphis on Monday.
Doncic has missed the last four games because of his thigh injury, but since he fully practiced on Thursday, he has made good progress.
But it’s not clear yet if he’ll be able to play in Monday’s game. If the 24-year-old stays out, the Mavericks will rotate their backcourt players based on whether or not Kyrie Irving (foot) is available.
The Mavericks are coming into the game against the Grizzlies having won their last two games. This is because Maxi Kleber hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer on Friday to help Dallas beat the Los Angeles Lakers 111-110. Kleber led the team to victory with 10 points.
After getting hurt in his foot, Kyrie Irving came back and led the Mavericks with 38 points. He also grabbed six boards and passed the ball six times.
Tim Hardaway Jr. scored 12 points in the win, and if Doncic can’t go on Monday, he could play a bigger role. Christian Wood (17.2 ppg) and Josh Green (9.5 ppg) could also take on more offensive responsibilities.
Memphis has won more games than the Mavericks this season, 2-1.

Grizzlies and Mavs are both trying to get into the playoffs.
The Memphis Grizzlies have won two straight games and five of their last six. On Monday night, they will host the Dallas Mavericks, hoping to take sole possession of second place in the Western Conference.
Memphis and the Sacramento Kings are tied for second place in the West. Both teams are four games behind Denver, which is in first place in the West.
Both teams have been doing well, and the Grizzlies can thank Jaren Jackson Jr. for a lot of their success.
Jackson was great on Saturday, when Memphis beat the Golden State Warriors 133-119. He scored 31 points, grabbed seven rebounds, and blocked four shots.
It was the third straight game in which Jackson scored at least 25 points. This has been a big deal because Memphis’s star point guard Ja Morant has been suspended for eight games because of bad behavior off the court.
Morant is eligible to play against the Mavericks, but he won’t because he needs to get in better shape.
Evan Barnes of the Memphis Commercial Appeal says that Morant will not be able to play in Monday’s game against Dallas.
Morant served the last game of his NBA-mandated suspension on Saturday and is now free to rejoin the team. However, an official team release says he will miss at least one more game as he works on “reconditioning for return to competition.”
Morant was always thought to need more time after his suspension, but the fact that his status isn’t clear makes things hard for fantasy managers, especially those in weekly lineup leagues.
Morant could play again as soon as Wednesday against Houston, but for now, the Grizzlies are probably going to decide on him game by game.
Tyus Jones should get another start at point guard on Monday. He has had two straight double-doubles.
Tyus Jones has also filled in for Morant while he has been starting. On Friday, he had a triple-double in a 126-120 overtime win over San Antonio. The next day, he had a double-double against Golden State (13 points and 14 assists).
Without Morant leading the offense, the Grizzlies’ defense had to step up against the Warriors. It did, holding Golden State to 7-of-21 shooting from the floor and just one made 3-pointer in the fourth quarter as Memphis beat the Warriors 29-19.
Since Morant has been out, the Grizzlies’ offense has been steady thanks to Desmond Bane. In five of his last six games, he has scored at least 21 points and averaged 5.5 rebounds and 5.5 assists.
Bane scored 25 and 23 points against Dallas in back-to-back games on March 11 and 13.
Let’s take a look at the Grizzlies’ injury report for today’s game.
