Are Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton PLAYING vs Pistons? Injury Report Bucks

For the fourth and final time this season, the NBA’s best Milwaukee Bucks will take on the NBA’s worst Detroit Pistons.

Milwaukee swept their first three games, winning two of them by 20 points or more. On paper this game is lopsided, but there’s a reason teams still suit up.

Let’s see if an enormous upset is in the works when these division rivals meet on Monday at 7:00 p.m. at Little Caesars Arena.

Update Injury for Milwaukee Bucks and Detroit Pistons

While Saturday’s loss to the Denver Nuggets ended a three-game winning streak, the Bucks still have the best record in the NBA going into the final eight games.

Over the course of 32 minutes, Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 31 points (13-22 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 5-7 FT), grabbed nine boards, dished out four assists, and swiped four steals.

Antetokounmpo scored 31 points, tied for the game high with Nikola Jokic, and came one steal short of matching his season high.

  • Giannis Antetokounmpo – Questionable to play Monday

Giannis Antetokounmpo (knee) is listed as probable for Monday’s matchup with the Pistons, per reports.

Milwaukee played a back-to-back set on Friday and Saturday, so Antetokounmpo’s inclusion on the injury report is likely preventative.

Since missing three games with a hand injury, he has played in seven straight games, averaging 30.7 points, 10.4 rebounds, and 6.3 assists.

  • Khris Middleton – Active

Meanwhile, Khris Middleton scored 13 points (6-14 FG, 1-5 3Pt), grabbed 8 boards, dished out 5 assists, and stole 2 balls over 29 minutes.

After sitting out Friday’s rout of Utah to manage his knee injury, Middleton returned for the second game of Milwaukee’s back-to-back.

In 8 of the Bucks’ last 10 games, the veteran forward has played 31.4 minutes per game, averaging 19.1 points, 7.4 assists, 4.6 rebounds, and 1.0 steals.

Even though Milwaukee has been adding players, it’s unlikely that they’ll all show up for this game. Meyers Leonard’s status for tonight’s game is in doubt, while Jae Crowder and Goran Dragic are both out for the season.

The Detroit Pistons are currently playing some of their worst basketball of the season, in which they have only won three consecutive games once.

Detroit has gone 3-19 since the start of February, and the loss of key players like Cade Cunningham, Alec Burks, Isaiah Stewart, and Bojan Bogdanovic has effectively ended the team’s chances of competing.
