On Sunday afternoon, the struggling Los Angeles Rams travel to New Orleans to face the equally struggling Saints.
Latest news on Cooper Kupp and Kyren Williams
The Los Angeles Rams arrive in New Orleans on a three-game losing streak. The Rams were defeated 27-17 at home by the Arizona Cardinals last week. The loss was painful for a number of reasons, the most significant of which was the loss of All-Pro wide receiver Cooper Kupp.
Kupp suffered a high ankle sprain and will be out for several weeks.
The Rams were already trailing before Kupp’s injury because they were playing without starting quarterback Matthew Stafford, who was out with a concussion. Stafford is expected to return this week, but with a depleted lineup.
The Rams are now without Kupp and starting center Brian Allen has been out with a thumb injury for much of the week.
In Sunday’s 27-17 loss to the Cardinals, Kyren Williams rushed once for nine yards and caught all three of his targets for 30 yards. He’ll play on Sunday if nothing else happens.
Stafford (concussion) looks to be a go on Sunday.
Cooper Kupp (IR) is out.
C Allen (thumb), LB Travin Howard (hip) and DE A’Shawn Robinson (illness) all missed practice on Thursday, so their status is uncertain.
The New Orleans Saints enter this game 3-7 on the season, with a two-game losing streak and losses in four of their last five games.
