Looking into the future, Angelina Jolie has said that she may quit acting as her kids become teenagers in order to make sure that she will be there for them. Although she loves acting and feels privileged to have such an amazing job, she does feel as though she would be happy at home with her family, especially as they get older and might need her help:
‘I think I’m going to have to give up the acting as the kids hit the teenage years, anyway, too much to manage at home. I have enjoyed being an actress. I am so grateful to the job and I have had great experiences and I have even be able to tell stories and be a part of stories that mattered and I have done things for fun, but…’
Angelina says she doesn’t rule out working on select projects while her kids are teenagers but she is often just happy to be a mom and wants to give back to the world in a positive manner even if she isn’t acting. It seems as though the couple have thought through their future plans as Brad also recently said he may begin working behind the scenes more in years to come. Angelina explained:
‘I will do some films and I am so fortunate to have the job, it’s a really lucky profession to be a part of and I enjoy it. But if it went away tomorrow I would be very happy to be home with the children. I wake up in the morning as a mum and I turn on the news like everybody else and I see what’s happening and I want to be part of the world in a positive way.’
