Andrew Wiggins’ girlfriend’s Instagram post seems to confirm the rumors about the Warriors star’s whereabouts right now (Updated: Apr. 04)

After spending a lot of time away from the team dealing with a very worrying yet highly mysterious personal matter, the Golden State Warriors star Andrew Wiggins has returned to the San Francisco area.

Andrew Wiggins’ girlfriend’s Instagram post supports rumors regarding his whereabouts right now

UPDATE (Apr. 04):

The Warriors are expected to have swingman Andrew Wiggins back in the lineup, perhaps as soon as this week, per multiple reports.

Andrew Wiggins is expected to return to the club this week after missing the last 21 games due to a personal problem, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Additionally, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports Wiggins plans to attend Golden State’s home game against the Thunder on Tuesday.

Wiggins hasn’t played for the Dubs since around the middle of February, but this latest news suggests he may be nearing a return to action.

Wiggins’ long-time girlfriend Mychal Johnson appears to have confirmed the aforementioned reports in an Instagram post. It appears that Johnson and Wiggins have returned to San Francisco, as she asked for recommendations for a hair specialist in the Bay Area.

While Wiggins has been avoiding the spotlight, Johnson has been quite vocal online. A few days ago, she uploaded an explicit TikTok video that appears to be a response to the vicious cheating rumors.

Wiggins’ purported return to the Bay Area is welcome news, whatever the circumstances. This brings him one step closer to making his long-awaited comeback to the squad.

However, it should be noted that Andrew Wiggins still does not have a definitive return date. The Warriors are apparently giving him all the time he requests to resolve this private matter, with the expectation that he will return fully committed to the team’s goals.

The rumors that the former All-Star won’t be back this season were shot down by head coach Steve Kerr, so Dubs fans are still holding out hope that their star will be healthy in time for the playoffs.

The Warriors forward has only averaged 32 minutes per game in 37 games this season before taking a break. Wiggins has averaged 17.1 points per game while also averaging 5.0 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and shooting 47.3% from the field and 39.6% from deep.

When on the court, Wiggins is a major contributor for the Warriors. His absence has necessitated major efforts from other players on both sides of the ball.

The safety of Wiggins is, of course, paramount. The surest indicator of that would be his return to the court.
