Actress Amber Heard, who is currently dating Johnny Depp (although she keeps saying that she doesn’t want to talk about that), has opened up on her sexuality. Amber dated Tasya van Ree for four years and says she never really struggled with the idea of being bisexual and never felt ashamed:
“I didn’t want to look like I was hiding anything. I’m not, and wasn’t ever, ashamed.”
Speaking on making it big, Amber says she won’t be following any particular road to success and believes that there shouldn’t be a “standard” for those who want to make it:
“I don’t imagine myself, my work, or my life, fitting into any kind of standardised path, in fact, the idea of there even being a standard freaks me out a lot.”
Amber also opens up on choosing roles, stating that she isn’t interested in bland romantic comedies and is drawn to empowering or action packed parts instead because she’d “rather shoot the gun” than be the girly girl character:
“I try to play characters who are somehow empowered or strong, people want to put me in a wedding dress and make me the object of affection, but I’d much rather shoot the gun and save the world. I’ve always fought against what was expected of me as much as I could.”
