Amanda Holden’s comedy Channel 4 show, starring her ‘grandmother,’ was canceled after only one season, despite bosses ‘loving working with her.’
Amanda Holden’s TV show was canceled after one season
The 52-year-old actress starred in the mockumentary series The Holden Girls: Mandy and Myrtle.
Amanda’s “life” was followed as she persuaded her nan (played by Keith) to relocate from Doncaster to her swanky London home.
Despite receiving an eight-part first season that aired in September 2021, the show has now been canceled.
According to a source, The Sun: “The Holden Girls proved hilarious together and bosses loved working with Amanda and Keith. But they’ve decided to focus their attention on new comedy shows.”
Although the sitcom will not be renewed, Amanda will be back on TV screens soon for the new season of Britain’s Got Talent.
This week, the Britain’s Got Talent judge looked stunning in a playful video she shared with fans on her Instagram stories while traveling in America.
Amanda Holden took a break from her hectic schedule to pose for a boomerang video, which she shared on social media.
She looked stunning in a stylish blue bikini with a plunging neckline to show off her amazing figure, and the top was embellished with gold hoop detailing to complete the look.
While enjoying the sun, the star accessorized her stylish swimwear with a pair of oversized aviator sunglasses.
Her golden hair fell in loose curls over her shoulders, and she wore light make-up to bring out her natural beauty in the video.
Amanda twirled around in the pool while smiling at the camera and showing off her sun-kissed surroundings in the social media post.
