On their BBC makeover show, she and her friend Alan Carr completely renovated a dilapidated €1 flat in Sicily.
And BGT star Amanda Holden’s flair for interior design can be seen in her own Surrey home, which she listed for £5 million last year.
Amanda Holden is selling the luxury home for £5 million
After purchasing it for £3.5 million in 2015, the BGT judge, 52, hopes to make a £1.5 million profit after renovating it in her own style.
It not only has a hot tub, an outhouse, and a 30ft by 27ft living room, but it also has a palm tree planted in honor of Sir Captain Tom Moore and a £30,000 drawing by the Connor Brothers.
A modern garden with a decking area, sprawling lawn, boxwoods, and ornamental grasses add to the luxury feel of the property.
Meanwhile, Amanda hasn’t shied away from using bright colors and bold designs on the inside.
The walls of one of the three bathrooms are covered with antique framed photographs, while the massive living room is steel blue with a geometric print rug, gold accents, and plenty of pineapple props.
Amanda renovated her kitchen with the help of the company Wilson Fink, and she now has three disco ball-style lights, each worth £850, hanging over her breakfast bar.
The mansion, which has five bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a study, is hidden behind two private gates that lead onto a private road that leads to the house.
Her husband, Chris, and their two daughters, Lexi, 17, and Hollie, 11, live there.
Amanda admitted to ‘badgering’ the home’s former owner to sell it to them for years before they finally relented.
The couple also has a vacation home in the Cotswolds that they have been renovating for the past year.
The driveway can accommodate several cars, which is useful when Amanda hosts her showbiz parties.
Amanda revealed to House Beautiful that it was important for their Surrey home not to feel like a “show home.”
She said: ‘We have two little girls and don’t want them feeling that they’re treading on eggshells.’
Amanda admitted that she and her husband Chris have so many clothes that they converted a room into a walk-in closet inspired by her favorite TV show.
She said: ‘I’m a huge Sex And The City fan and Chris did a Mr Big and turned a whole room into my wardrobe.
‘Except, he didn’t leave a pair of Manolos at the end… but he arranged everything else. It’s something I’ve always dreamt of.
‘There’s a remote-controlled mirror that goes up and down and lights up – it’s amazing.’
The TV star also admitted she’s a neat freak, ‘I am house proud, but I’ve got two kids, two dogs and a cat, so it’s a family house. Everything is washable and wipeable.
‘It’s so open plan my littlest can cycle her bike around. ‘I don’t have carpets on the ground floor – and this is disgusting – but I was doing an interview a while ago and my puppy pooed on the floor during the chat.
‘But you don’t worry if you have wooden floors. Two words: wipe clean.’
Amanda is so into interior design that she believes it could become a day job for her, ‘I want this to be a legacy. When my face falls off and all the telly work dries up, this is actually where I want to be.’
