How to Unlock
Most factions in XDefiant offer at least one character unlocked from the get-go. To expand your roster within each faction (excluding DedSec), you’ll need to conquer specific in-game challenges. These challenges are designed to test your mastery of each faction’s signature ability.
To stay on top of your character unlock progress, navigate to the Challenges menu. From there, head to the Base tab and scroll down to the “Faction Characters” section. This section will display the challenges you need to complete for each lockable character.

Unlike other factions, DedSec requires an additional step for access. You can unlock them by either:
