Victoria Beckham has herself convinced that even when she’s surrounded by paparazzi, no one is after a photo of her. She says that when she’s with someone else she believes photographers just want pictures of the other person because she isn’t interesting enough:
“When I was on stage with the Spice Girls, I thought people were there to see the other four and not me. And when I go out with David and people take pictures I think, ‘They’re here to take David’s picture.’”
Although she’s a workaholic, Victoria says she is slowly learning to delegate work to others with her fashion line. She has to trust people to do the label justice and give it their all because she is simply too busy to obsess over every detail even though she does really want to:
“You’ve got to trust people. And because I am a control freak, sometimes that’s difficult for me, because I want to micro-manage absolutely everything. I can’t hand over. But I’m trying to do that more. It’s hard because I have such a specific vision.”
On her need to work, Victoria says that her work projects keep her going even though she knows she doesn’t need to work anymore because they have enough money. She is also trying to teach her children a good work ethic:
“I don’t have to work, I need to work. But I have a good work ethic. David has an incredible work ethic. I want my kids to have a good work ethic. I believe you can achieve anything if you work hard enough to get it.”
