Jack White isn’t a big fan of Lady Gaga – he believes she’s all style and no substance. The singer says that people love Gaga because they’re eager to buy into her image and her music is easy to listen to, but when it comes to having real meaning, he thinks Gaga doesn’t have any really strong message to deliver. Jack commented:
”I don’t think she lives it, because it’s all artifice. It’s all image with no meaning behind it. You can’t sink your teeth into it. It’s a sound bite. It’s very of this age, because that’s what people want. They want a Twitter line, a Gif, a Jpeg, and MP3.”
Jack also admits that he doesn’t quite get the appeal of twitter because he doesn’t need to know what everyone is doing all of the time, especially when people do mundane updates that aren’t witty or amusing. He believes only comedians should have accounts because they’re more used to putting together funny one-liners than average people who don’t say anything interesting:
”Twitter is the perfect example of modern living. I think the only people who should have Twitter accounts are comedians. Because it’s all about one liners. I would love it if Conan O’Brien or Reggie Watts or Stephen Colbert were to walk into a room and tell me one joke and leave. But you don’t want Gore Vidal telling you, ‘I’m doing my dishes right now.”’
