Kelly Osbourne has said she wouldn’t like to be as pretty as Kate Moss or Kim Kardashian – she believes they have too much pressure on them to look amazing all the time – but still, c’mon Kelly, you’d totes trade bods given the chance – who wouldn’t? She comments that instead of appreciating ourselves, we are all too busy comparing ourselves to people we aren’t, instead of simply embracing what we have:
”Women are so unforgiving of themselves. We don’t recognise our own beauty, because we’re too busy comparing ourselves to other people. No, we are not all Gisele Bundchen or Beyonce Knowles but I can tell you even the most beautiful girls in the world have felt insecure. Just seeing the pressure my friends Kim Kardashian and Kate Moss are under makes me never want to be the prettiest in the room. There is no such thing as perfection. Try this; look in the mirror. Find one thing you like… think, ‘Well, I’ve got this, and a lot of people don’t.’ You have to look at what you do have.”
Kelly lost 70lbs after taking part on ‘Dancing With The Stars’ and says that she now feels she is a “former fat person” but still wouldn’t consider herself skinny either. She also speaks on how she was bullied for her weight and still remembers all of the hurtful comments people used to make:
”I call myself an FFP – former fat person. And when you’re an FFP, you will always see in yourself what people used to bully you for. I grew up on the road with my father but I came from a very, very small village where everyone called me Kelly Smelly with the Big Belly Whose Dad’s on Telly. It hurt me so badly to be judged like that. Even now, I don’t consider myself skinny.”
